Project Overview
The Libya Onshore Oil & Gas Project is a strategically important development involving production, processing, automation, electrical systems, instrumentation, mechanical operations, and maintenance of high-capacity facilities. The project emphasizes operational excellence, safety compliance, asset integrity, and continuous improvement.
Successful candidates will work in a structured environment following international oil and gas standards, including strict adherence to HSE policies, operational procedures, and preventive maintenance programs.
Work Schedule & Conditions
Work Cycle: 42 Days On / 21 Days Off
Working Hours: 8 Hours per day
Working Days: 7 Days a week during on-cycle
Location: Onshore Oil & Gas Site, Libya
Contract Type: Renewable long-term contract (subject to performance and project requirements)

Senior Commissioning Technician
Senior Automation Technician
Senior Electrical Technician
Senior Instrument Technician
Senior Mechanical Technician
Senior Process Technician
Each position requires strong hands-on experience, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently in a demanding onshore environment.
1. Senior Commissioning Technician
Job Summary:
The Senior Commissioning Technician will play a key role during pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and handover phases of onshore oil and gas facilities. The role involves system checks, loop testing, functional testing, troubleshooting, and coordination with engineering and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute commissioning activities for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process systems
Perform pre-commissioning checks and system verification
Support loop checks, functional testing, and start-up operations
Identify and resolve commissioning issues efficiently
Ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards
Coordinate with vendors, engineers, and operations personnel
Prepare commissioning reports and documentation
Requirements:
Diploma or technical qualification in Engineering or relevant discipline
Minimum 8–10 years of commissioning experience in oil & gas onshore projects
Strong understanding of commissioning procedures and safety protocols
Ability to work under pressure in a rotational environment
2. Senior Automation Technician
Job Summary:
The Senior Automation Technician is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting automation and control systems used in oil and gas processing facilities. This includes DCS, PLCs, SCADA systems, and field automation devices.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and troubleshoot PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems
Support automation during commissioning and operations
Diagnose control system faults and implement corrective actions
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
Assist in system upgrades and configuration changes
Ensure cybersecurity and system integrity where applicable
Maintain accurate technical records and reports
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Automation, Electronics, or related field
8+ years of experience in oil & gas automation systems
Hands-on experience with major DCS/PLC platforms
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
3. Senior Electrical Technician
Job Summary:
The Senior Electrical Technician will be responsible for operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems across the onshore facility, ensuring continuous and safe power supply to all critical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain LV and MV electrical systems
Troubleshoot motors, transformers, switchgear, and panels
Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities
Interpret electrical drawings and schematics
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards
Support commissioning and shutdown activities
Report and document electrical faults and repairs
Requirements:
Technical diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
8–10 years of oil & gas electrical maintenance experience
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems
Valid safety certifications preferred
4. Senior Instrument Technician
Job Summary:
The Senior Instrument Technician is responsible for calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of field instruments critical to safe and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Calibrate and maintain pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments
Maintain control valves, analyzers, and transmitters
Troubleshoot instrumentation and control loops
Support DCS and automation teams during plant operations
Perform preventive maintenance and shutdown tasks
Ensure compliance with instrumentation standards and procedures
Requirements:
Diploma in Instrumentation or related field
8+ years of onshore oil & gas instrumentation experience
Strong knowledge of field instruments and control systems
Experience with international calibration standards
5. Senior Mechanical Technician
Job Summary:
The Senior Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining mechanical equipment essential to oil and gas production and processing, ensuring reliability and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain pumps, compressors, turbines, and rotating equipment
Perform alignment, vibration checks, and mechanical inspections
Execute preventive and breakdown maintenance
Interpret mechanical drawings and manuals
Support major overhauls and shutdown activities
Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
Requirements:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
8–10 years of mechanical maintenance experience in oil & gas
Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment
Ability to work independently on-site
6. Senior Process Technician
Job Summary:
The Senior Process Technician is responsible for monitoring and controlling process operations to ensure optimal production, safety, and efficiency of onshore facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor process parameters and control systems
Operate process units safely and efficiently
Identify process deviations and take corrective action
Support start-up, shutdown, and emergency operations
Coordinate with maintenance and control room teams
Ensure compliance with operating procedures and HSE standards
Requirements:
Technical qualification in Process, Chemical, or related discipline
8+ years of onshore oil & gas process operations experience
Strong understanding of process flow and plant operations
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
